Contrary to a recent rumor my name is not Benjamin "Spoon" Agave. It is, according to the records, Ben Spoon Agave. It will appear on the ballot for Selectboard as (Ben) Spoon Agave. Since everyone knows me as Spoon I wouldn't be bothering at all with the Ben part except that I feel I might as well make myself more appealing to those for whom ordinary names are important.
And for those who think the campaign will be a lot spicier for my presence be aware that, until election day, I am going to be nice. There will be no more sarcasm or brilliant comic put-downs. And even if there were they will be so subtle that only my hairdresser will know for sure.
