CONFUSED ABOUT ISRAEL AND PALESTINE?

Reporting from the Occupied Territories, Jewish Americans and Israelis in solidarity with Palestinians. Members of Jews Against the Occupation will be coming to the Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main Street, Brattleboro Vermont on February 22nd at 7:00pm. Their talk will consist of personal and historical events that have led to their activism. Slides will be shown and questions will be addressed.



In this event, these activists who had been to the West bank last summer,
will show slides of the Segregation Wall and of Palestinian life under the
Israeli occupation, and will discuss Palestinian non-violent resistance,
the Segregation Wall, the Israeli and Jewish anti-occupation and peace
movement, and what you can do for peace and justice in the Middle East.

Jews Against the Occupation is a grass roots organization made of jewish
people from different cultural and religious backgrounds who have committed
themselves to working in solidarity with Palestine for a just peace.

The Featured speakers are:

Nirit Ben-Ari, an Israeli activist and member of Jews Against the
Occupation, she is a graduate student of political science in the Graduate
Canter of the City University of New York. She is a former Israeli army
radio editor, "Tel Aviv Times" columnist and tour guide.

Ora Wise, born in Jerusalem and raised by a Rabbi and a Jewish day school
teacher. She has worked with Rabbis for Human Rights and returned again to
Israel/Palestine this summer to work with the International solidarity
movement.

The event is produced by the Palestine/Israel Committee of the Brattleboro
Peace and Justice Group, Centre Church Peace and Justice Group and the
Brattleboro Religious Society of Friends are co-sponsoring. For information
