According to the AP today, 5/3/04, Entergy Nuclear will NOT get the opportunity this year to get exempted from the dry cask storage concerns that got tacked on to a legislative bill last week in Montpelier.

On Fri, the Atty Gen'l's office said Entergy is not welcome to the same provision that Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corp had 25 + years ago. Today, Peter Welch, of the Senate said, basically it won't happen this year for Entergy... to get dry cask storage approval...

No one really knows how much storage capacity VY has left... Sure the PSB understands them to have a full pool if uprate happens( it won't) in 2010, no uprate 2012.

That is the news for now...
One more tough break for Entergy...
Too bad they lost that waste too...

My friend Tad in the Happy Valley claims to have found it but he won't send it unless You handle it Yourselves....
check out ... itsabouttheoil.org like the billboard in Northampton...just north of exit 21 heading south... gfv
