The Vermont Bald Eagle Restoration Initiative, is a collaborative effort to create a breeding Bald Eagle population in the Green Mountain State by raising and releasing eagle chicks in the Lake Champlain Valley.

The project is funded by a federal appropriation secured by Sen. James Jeffords and the cooperative efforts of The National Wildlife Federation, the Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife, Outreach for Earth Stewardship, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Central Vermont Public Service, we plan to raise and release six to 10 chicks annually from special hack boxes at Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area.

Vermonters will be able to view the young eagles at Dead Creek on the "baby eagle cam": http://www.cvps.com/eagles/
