THE GE FREE VERMONT LAWN SIGN CAMPAIGN HAS BEGUN!

WHY A LAWN SIGN? We Vermonters have a long tradition of voicing our opinions in many innovative ways. Lawn signs are a proven method for getting one’s voice heard. More importantly, they’re a great tool for letting our legislators know Vermonters want them to take a stand for GMO regulation and to realize that thousands of Vermonters are concerned about genetic engineering—what it’s impact is on their farms, their food and the environment. This election cycle is an excellent opportunity to get the word out and continue to raise the issues!

We are getting excellent reviews on them, already. They are eye-catching and double-sided. Also, the language is drawing the hoped-for question, "What are GMOs?" We're thrilled.

You can see it at www.gefreevt.org
Please join in!!!

Below is a list of individuals who have volunteered to distribute lawn signs from their homes and businesses. If you can offer your location as a distribution site, we'd love to hear from you. (We still need particular help in Bennington and Franklin County.)

The money for these signs came from individuals and primarily from the Windham County Genetic Engineering Action Group (WCGEAG) folks down in Brattleboro, so a suggested donation---IF able-- of 5 dollars or more would really help to pay them back for their investment! Getting the signs well placed is more important, however. If you do not see a distributor near you, or would like to volunteer yourself—please contact Bayard Littlefield of Vermont Genetic Engineering Action Network at vtgean@sover.net or 802-272-9536

Locally, contact Jim Moulton at 824-6670 (jmoulton@sover.net) or Rich Garant at 257-1589.
