Three cheers for RFB's Ian (I hope his name is spelled this way) for reading Michael Rupert's recent speech at The Commonweath Club on his radio show "Ian's Bookshelf" on RFB Thursdays from 6-8pm.

Being generally critical and distrusting of the powers that be, I still had a hard time taking seriously the claims that the 9-11 attack could have been orchestrated by people within our government. My reason was that such a grand scale conspiracy could not have been carried out without leaks, or at least the high probability of leaks rendering it a hoplessly risky gamble. I was further convinced of this after I heard Noam Chompsky in one of his post-9-11 speeches give the very same reason as to why he did not believe our government could done it.
After hearing Rupert's speech, and in light of the evidence he puts fourth, I can no longer dismiss the very real possibility that our government not only allowed, but indeed orchesrated those horrific events.
First he debunks many of the accepted "fatcs" that we have heard from the media and the 9-11 Commission themselves. Then he points out the numerous critical questions that have not been addressed by the commision thereby rendering their inquiry inadequate.
Finally the former detective presents motive, means and backround information that makes a compelling case against indivduals in our governemnt.
What at first seemed to me a far-fetched consipracy theory now sound like the most likely explaination of what happend that day.
