Residents of Brattleboro got some time to live without electricity this morning.
The power went out for about 45 minutes after 10 am and came back on just before 11 am.
Local businesses were affected. Some stores were dark, but sold goods using pen and paper to add up totals. Other businesses simply stopped work.
Main Street and Western Avenue were among those to lose power. rfb went off the air; WTSA continued to broadcast. iBrattleboro was available, but only to those outside the affected area.
Power trucks were seen scurrying about, presumably on their way to making repairs.
No storms were overhead. In fact, it was one of the nicest mornings, weather-wise, the town has seen in a few days.
