This is a graphic I made a few years ago that, unfortunately, still seems very relevant today. There are a lot of people and companies out there who are profiting off of this tragedy. You have stores still peddling 9/11 hats, t-shirts, figurines, and media outlets showing TV specials for a boost in ratings, putting special 9/11 "commemorative" magazines on newsstands etc.
Now it's 2004, and we have a President who's using the tragedy to promote his campaign for re-election.
Some things never change . . .
