I'm only listing those dates that involve people running for office, and those who want to get Articles on the Warning.
I sure hope we see at least new names for Town Mtg. Reps. The same people run year after year. They're the ones who vote Special Articles in or down, and who approve the Town budget or not. They also get to discuss all sorts of things. It only takes ONE DAY out of your life.
Thurs. 1/20 - Last day (5:00 PM) to file petition to place an article on the Warning for the annual Town and Town School District Meeting.
Mon. 1/24 - Last day (5:00 PM) to file petition for Town and Town School District officers (30 signatures required).
Mon. 1/24 - Last day to file petition to be a candidate for Town Meeting member (10 signatures from candidate's district required).
Mon. 1/31 - Last day to register to vote in the BUHS annual meeting.
Mon. 2/21 - Last day to register to vote for Town and Town School District elections.
TUESDAY, MARCH 1 - TOWN AND TOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS.
Fri. 3/11 - Last day for a candidate for local office to file request for recount.
Sat. 3/19 - ANNUAL REPRESENTATIVE TOWN AND TOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING
Fri. 3/25 - Last day (5:00 PM) for petition to be filed with Selectboard requesting question voted at Representative Town Meeting be submitted to voters of the Town at large. Requires signatures of 250 voters or 50 Town Meeting members.
