I would think that the real goals of the NeoCons here isn't to get that actual budget passed (though thats a wet dream for them I'm sure) but rather to make it so that even a ''moderate'' solution where they drop 1/2 the controversial sections -- but still get a radical budget passed. One which of course gives to the rich and takes even more from the poor and middle ''class''.
