Hi, I'm Christine Thrasher and I'd like to start a youth activist group. If you've ever been outraged or upset by the way this country, and the world, are working, for the rights of LGBT people, ethnic people, poor/ working class people, and differently abled people (among many others), you may want to join this group.
I'm interested in having discussions, maybe starting a zine, and doing some local activism and community work. Also, eventually, we could travel to other places (preferably in or near New England) to participate in events.
Though I encourage LGBT people to join, it is not exclusively an LGBT group, so if any of this interests you, and you want to to create positive change in the world, you are certainly welcome. You can contact me at my e-mail address, sistersfrancis@hotmail.com, if you're interested.
I'd say I'd work best with ages 12 - 22 but if you're somewhere on the verge of either, and are interested, I'm sure we could work something out.
