Community rallies to support injured student
BRATTLEBORO — The Clark-Canal Community Association has opened a bank account to help the family of India Martin, the 16-year-old Community High School student from Brattleboro who was critically injured in a fatal automobile accident on May 3 in Guilford.
India sustained multiple broken bones in the accident and remains hospitalized at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.
Walgreen’s, where India works, was the first area business to make a donation to the fund. Pricechopper and its employees also are supporting the community-wide effort., which has assistance from ALANA Community Organization and the Agape Christian Fellowship.
Checks should be made payable to: Martin Relief Fund and sent to Brattleboro Savings & Loan, PO Box 1010, Brattleboro, VT 05302.
