Brattleboro—KidsPLAYce of Brattleboro is pleased to bring Circus Smirkus to Brattleboro this summer.
Circus Smirkus is an acclaimed international touring circus that showcases the best young talent in the circus arts today. Every summer, a new company of youth between the ages of 10 and 20 shares the ring with professional artists. The company tours across New England and New York for up to 8 weeks. Presenting a high-energy, full-length original show, Circus Smirkus combines the best of traditional and contemporary circus styles.
This year’s area performance will be in Brattleboro and will have a "Pinocchio" theme with a medley of circus acts based on the characters and adventures of this classic tale. Performances will be on Tuesday, July 12th, at 2pm and 7pm, and Wednesday, July 13th, at 2pm and 7pm.
The Circus Smirkus shows provide a vital fundraising opportunity for KidsPLAYce. KidsPLAYce is a non-profit children’s center where children, their family members, and their friends can play, discover, create, and learn together. KidsPLAYce serves as a play space, community center, and education venue for families and groups such as child care providers, homeschoolers, playgroups, and social service agencies.
Corporations and individuals who would like to support the Circus Smirkus presentation by underwriting a portion of the presentation costs and others interested in volunteering time and energy to this event should contact Tim Ellis at (802) 254-5212. Inquiries from local organizations, summer camps, child care centers, and others wanting to order 15 or more tickets at a reduced price are also welcome.
