We'll be trying out the meeting space in the basement of the Brattleboro Savings & Loan, downtown (221 Main), on Sunday July 10 at 5 p.m. The front door will probably be locked — check around back. If the weather's nice, we may decide to move the meeting outside somewhere nearby. We'll put up a note or something in that case.
The June meeting at the Common Ground was a good time, though maybe a little warm. We hadn't chosen a topic, so the dozen or so of us there freeformed our way through it. A fun meeting. Sometimes it's good for productivity to take a back seat, but the feeling seems to be that we should get back on a loose program.
Since our last meeting, four regular BANG attendees — Sam, Daniel, Sarah, and Mark — were at the Natural Building Colloquium ("Building With Spirit") in Bath, NY, and might have a little update about that. Four photos from the event can be seen at http://www.potkettleblack.com/bang/
There also may be a local earthen oven project starting to shape up.
So... Sunday, July 10, Brattleboro Savings & Loan, 211 Main St. downtown, 5:00 p.m. — see you there! This group is intended to be for everybody, whether or not they've ever built anything. It's about learning, empowerment, and — whenever possible — doing.
