Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition announces its fall parenting courses for parents and guardians of 4th to 8th graders: Tuesdays, Sept 20 - Oct. 18th at the Austine School for the Deaf (Interpreters provided); Thursdays, Oct. 6th - Nov. 3rd at the Marlboro Graduate Center and Wednesdays, Nov. 9th - Dec. 14th at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. All classes run from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and free childcare is provided.

Guiding Good Choices is a free course (with a stipend of $65 paid to participants who come to all 5 classes) that teaches the skills that parents/guardians need to guide their preteens/teens to healthy adulthood. Skills include how to set clear guidelines, how to control and express anger constructively, promote family bonds and prepare kids with "refusal skills": how to walk away from risky behaviours!
