The Vermont Agency of Transportation will be hosting three design workshops on reshaping the transportation elements of Putney Road corridor (ie roadway, bike lanes, sidewalks, intersections, etc) from the West River bridge to the Exit 3 roundabout.

The construction isn't imminent but the design resulting from these workshops will be in place for 20-30 years.

Come to the 1st of 3 workshops and put yourself in the shoes of a transportation designer. This is an orientation on transportation design to get you geared up to brainstorm on the Putney Road transportation corridor.

The first workshop is scheduled for:
Wednesday January 25th, 2006
7:00 to 9:00 PM
Selectboard Meeting Room, 2nd Floor
Brattleboro Municipal Center, 230 Main Street, Brattleboro

The 2nd workshop, approximately 1 month later, will be a brainstorming session with the design professionals to come up with ideas for the corridor. Between the 2nd and 3rd workshops, VTrans will incorporate the community’s input into several design choices. At the final workshop, approximately 2 months later, VTrans will present the conceptual plans and provide an opportunity for participants to comment.
