Free Media Mentoring Workshop: Improving Story Ideas and Drafts

A free workshop of the Media Mentoring Project, "Improving Story Ideas and Drafts" will be offered on Monday, January 16th at 7:00pm. Kate Casa, Editor for the Southern Vermont Bureau of the Vermont Guardian and columnist Judith Gorman will lead the workship.

The session will focus on story ideas and drafts of articles or op-ed pieces brought by class participants. The class will take place at Green Mountain Mama's Diner, located at 105 Canal Street in Brattleboro.

No previous writing experience or class attendance is required. Child care or carpooling arrangements may be possible by calling in advance. The Media Mentoring Project, a project of the local non-profit Vermont Independent Media, aims to prepare participants to become community journalists in the greater Brattleboro area.
