The Sticky Stick Insect was always in a sticky situation. Whatever he did - out in the sticks, he always got in a mess. Although he tried to stick to his friends like glue - they got sick with the Sticky Stick Insect's sticky situations.

He climbed onto a leaf and got stuck. He got stuck on so many things, the Sticky Stick Insect really began to stick out in the crowd. "I just can't stick it !", he squeeled. Try as hard as he might to unstick himself - it was hopeless - he was completely glued. The gooey gum attached his feet to the twigs on the trees and left him in a gloopy glump.

At breakfast, if he stuck his fork into a sausage - it wouldn't come out again. All day long at work - people were always sticking things on the stick insect's desk. Painting and decorating in The Sticky Stick Insect's home was a sticky sight - he tried to stick it out - but it was no good - he always got in a fix. Dabbing it here and dabbing it there ... paste and paper everywhere. "I just can't stick it !", he squeeled again. Whilst his eyes were glued to the television - he got stuck in the chair and pasted in the pillows.

Even a relaxing sunbathe in the sticky weather was hazardous for The Sticky Stick Insect. On the garden path, he was quickly cemented in quicksand. He was gummed on the window on Wednesday and tacked on the door on Tuesday. What sticks in The Sticky Stick Insect's mind about the weekend was how easy it was to get caught up in things. He made all kinds of excuses for not being on time (and decided to stick by his story). Of course, the real reason was that The Sticky Stick Insect was gloopy and glued most of the time.

He stuck out a mile ! He even got caught up in a stick up outside the bank - though he tried to stick up for himself - and maintained his innocence - the charges did not stick. "I just can't stick it !", he squeeled again and again. The Sticky Stick Insect was always in a sticky situation.
