The Weathervane is hosting DINAFEST 2006 on Thursday, February 9 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. featuring highly danceable grooves, free cake and outrageousness.

DJ Pockets will spin the dancefloor with a mix of pop, soul and hip-hop starting at 9 p.m. Known throughout downtown as the host of rfb's "Raw Buttahmilk Show", DJ Pockets promises to keep the dancefloor hot with beats from the underground.

At 11 p.m., the trio from Southern Spain, ouie, will play original crack rock pop to please the ears and pulsate the body. Their jungle/grindcore/glam style draws influence from Black Sabbath to Stevie Wonder. They've played most recently at the Weathervane and several private parties.

There is no cover, though CDs will be available for sale. Free cupcakes offered in celebration of dancer and jewelry maker Dina Masfina's birthday. Everyone welcome. The Weathervane is located at 19 Elliot Street. (802) 246-2560.
