Earlier today the town of Putney passed by a voice vote a resolution to urge Vermont's Senators and Congressman to move forward with impeachment proceedings for President George W. Bush.
The resolution was not warned on the town agenda for today, but was offered during the open portion of Town Meeting. This reporter, unfortunately, was unable to be present at this vote, but I was told that while not unanimous, the resolution passed overwhelmingly.
One participant was heard leaving the meeting at the lunch break saying "I wish that could have been a binding resolution!"
