I just came back from tonights performace of Rev. Billy & The Church of Stop Shopping at the Church in Brattleboro.
It was wonderful! The choir is fantastic, and the message powerful. It was a message of hope and motivation in a time and place in Americas history where hope and motivation seem to be in increasingly short supply.
It was sold out, people standing and sitting all over the place in the Church. My ears are ringing still from the volume, but thanks to Bratt Power, the Commons and all the other groups in town who helped get Rev. Billy and his Choir & musicians to town!
We need to get to work people, we need to save this country. America can be a shining beacon again, but it will take sacrifice and work. Downsizing and modesty. And compassion and forgiveness of ourselves and each other!
