Following is my understanding of the process for Selectboard goal setting (although there doesn’t seem to be a clear written process):
1. Each Selectboard member submits their goals to the entire Selectboard and the Town Manager’s office via email;
· I have received goals from the other Selectboard members, however, I think its their decision to publish their own goals if they want to share them with the public before the public meeting on Monday morning.
2. The Town Manager’s office collates the goals;
· This is unclear to me. I have asked for protocol from previous years, but I haven’t received an answer.
3. The goals are discussed at a worksession and decided upon by the entire Selectboard;
· The worksession is Monday, April 10 at 8:30 am in the Hanna Cosman room; the public is welcome to attend and give their input.
4. The goals are voted on at the next Selectboard meeting.
· Tuesday, April 25.
