On Saturday, August 5th, at the Living Memorial Park swimming pool,
the Boys & Girls Clubs of Brattleboro and the Brattleboro Recreation
& Parks Department with the help of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of
Vermont and Windham OB-GYN are sponsoring the 13th Annual Duck Derby
to benefit both organizations.

This popular community event includes: free swimming, free hot dogs,
free face painting, music and the Great Cardboard Boat Building and
Race.*

*The Great Cardboard Boat Building and Race
Registration from 1-1:30 pm
Construction from 1:30-2:30pm
Race at 2:30 pm
All materials supplied ~free

Here’s how the Duck Derby works---you “adopt” rubber ducks (each has
a number on the bottom).

1 duck for $5,
5 ducks for $20
50 ducks for $100

When the ducks slide into the pool at 3:45 pm they are plucked from
the water one by one and if a duck with your number is picked, you
win a prize! There are over 30 prizes and 1st prize is $1,000!

Visit the Boys & Girls Club or the Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Dept for a full list of the prizes.
Please support out community’s youth through the programs and sports
leagues these organizations provide. You can adopt ducks at any local bank, at the Boys & Girls Club on Flat Street, at the Recreation & Parks office on Main Street, or on Duck Derby Day at the pool.

You don’t need to be present to win, but it sure is exciting to be there!

Thanks to all who are supporting these worthy organizations.
