I've been checking www.sanders.senate.gov to see when Bernie Sanders new Senate website would appear. So far, it hasn't gone live.
A few weeks after the election was the first time I checked. I was looking for Leahy press releases and realized that Sanders would soon have a Senate URL rather than a House URL. There was nothing, so I forgot about it.
After Bernie came to town to thank supporters, I checked again. He had mentioned the new website being in the works at the meeting, but nothing was at his expected web address when I looked. Rather than get an error, though, this time I got redirected to the homepage for the U.S. Senate. That meant that the Senate web team was setting things up.
Today I checked again and got yet another page: "Access Denied". That would indicate that the redirection to the Senate homepage was turned off, and that the Sanders site was there, but being blocked by the Sanders web team while they finish things off (I'm guessing). I'm also guessing that the new site should be there soon.
Senator Leahy is already working in the new year, with two press releases already out in January. Senator Jeffords site is still up, too, and features a video of his final statements on the floor.
