The NY Daily News has reported that Rudy Giuliani has trademarked his name:

Giuliani, thought to be a front-runner in the Republican Presidential hopefuls of 2008, is already getting his wagons in a circle. Since returning to the private sector, he has worked with many industries and companies that may raise eyebrows. It's thought that this latest move to protect himself will aim towards damage control in the upcoming campaign.
The Daily News obtained this information from a contract leaked to them. Under the heading, "Use of Mr. Giuliani's name", we are told that, "trade names and trademarks" including "Rudolph Giuliani' or 'Giuliani Partners LLC' shall not be used without prior consent". It also goes on to say that those names may not be used in denigrating or defaming ways. What the Daily News does not say is from what contract, or with whom it was made, this info comes.
What may be inferred from this, however, is that as a trademarked name, Giuliani may have a lot of control over what is said about him and his business affiliations in the upcoming campaign.
