Did anyone see the front page story in the Reformer of the outside boiler regulation? If not here's the link.

Here's another example of government run amuck. Apparently the state of Vermont is still digging it's regulatory claws into an industry that is becoming more popular and necessary. The article states that Montepelier is getting complaints and people have sold their homes do to neighbors with outdoor wood boilers. I'd be willing to bet the complaints aren't coming from Traditional Vermonters, but those that never smelled woodsmoke in their ritzy suburban developed neighborhoods.
What kind of message are we to gleen from our illustrious legislature of uncommon sense you might ask?
Well, we are against oil and any other fossil fuel because of war and Global Warming. We don't want electricity because that would mean the additional need of nuclear energy. Windmills are a blight on our natural landscape so no to those. Oh and did we mention we don't want you sheople to use OWB's because the smoke is bad and big tax paying flatlanders that moved here don't like smelling the smoke that Vermonters have relied on for years. Even if it is a renewable resource.
"Freedom and Unity"?..... What a joke.
