Former National Security Advisor and founding member of the Trilateral Commission Zbigniew Brzezinski tacitly warned a Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week that an attack on Iran could be launched following a staged provocation in Iraq or a false flag terror attack within the U.S.

"Zbigniew Brzezinski Drops Bombshell on Senate Foreign Relations Committee"
Former National Security Advisor and current "counselor and trustee" at the Center For Strategic and International Studies Zbigniew Brzezinski often speaks more plainly than his colleagues about both the true purposes and preferred means of US foreign policy. Last week, he roundly criticized the Iraq war in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and issued this warning about the likelihood of a coming conflict with Iran:

If the United States continues to be bogged down in a protracted bloody involvement in Iraq, the final destination on this downhill track is likely to be a head-on conflict with Iran and with much of the world of Islam at large. A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a “defensive” U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

This is the author of "The Grand Chessboard" making these comments, a man with National Security connections that run several decades, and a man who himself knows a thing or two about provocations [he has claimed, for instance, that he authored the 'Afghan Trap' that helped lead to the demise of the Soviet Union]. It is as close to an admission that "national security" and intelligence agencies conduct false flag attacks as we are likely to see.

Following his opening remarks, in response to questions from the senators, Brzezinski reiterated his warning of a provocation.

He called the senators’ attention to a March 27, 2006 report in the New York Times on “a private meeting between the president and Prime Minister Blair, two months before the war, based on a memorandum prepared by the British official present at this meeting.” In the article, Brzezinski said, “the president is cited as saying he is concerned that there may not be weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, and that there must be some consideration given to finding a different basis for undertaking the action.”
He continued: “I’ll just read you what this memo allegedly says, according to the New York Times: ‘The memo states that the president and the prime minister acknowledged that no unconventional weapons had been found inside Iraq. Faced with the possibility of not finding any before the planned invasion, Mr. Bush talked about several ways to provoke a confrontation.’

“He described the several ways in which this could be done. I won’t go into that... the ways were quite sensational,at least one of them.

“If one is of the view that one is dealing with an implacable enemy that has to be removed, that course of action may under certain circumstances be appealing. I’m afraid that if this situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate, and if Iran is perceived as in some fashion involved or responsible, or a potential beneficiary, that temptation could arise.”

Brzezinski was asked afterwards whether he meant by this statement what he seemed to mean. Here's the exchange:

Q: Dr. Brzezinski, who do you think would be carrying out this possible provocation?
A: I have no idea. As I said, these things can never be predicted. It can be spontaneous.
Q: Are you suggesting there is a possibility it could originate within the US government itself?
A: I’m saying the whole situation can get out of hand and all sorts of calculations can produce a circumstance that would be very difficult to trace.

-That site has more excellent info on the NWO etc. It was CFR members like 'Scooter' Libby, Wolfowitz, Cheney etc. who wished for a 'New Pearl Harbor' in their planning at PNAC, and soon got it with 9/11, and it was CFR members like Gary Hart etc. who pushed for the continuation of the New World Order plan (by that exact term) immediatlely after 9/11, and it was CFR members who ran the 9/11 Commission "investigation" (whitewash).


"Wolfowitz Warns of 'Surprise like Pearl Harbor' Months Before 9/11 Attacks"
Video posted recently on Live Leak shows now World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz delivering a June 2001 West Point commencement speech wherein he focused on surprise attacks-- making heavy reference to Pearl Harbor.

Wolfowitz illustrated, just months before the infamous 9/11 attacks, that Pearl Harbor is interesting in that it was "preceded by an astonishing number of unheeded warnings and missed signals."

This surfacing video only reinforces the pre-meditation established by the Project for a New American Century (PNAC). Wolfowitz helped to pen the think tank's September 2000 document 'Rebuilding America's Defenses' which stated on pg. 51, amidst a larger call for dramatic military build-up, that:
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor."
