Where do white rabbits come from? Why can’t tigers jump backwards? Why does the mouse have brown teeth? Find out the answers to these mysteries and more when Peter Burns performs his madcap, fast-paced show on Friday July 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Children’s Room, Brooks Memorial Library. Peter has been a storyteller for more than 20 years. A recipient of many awards, including two fellowships from the Vermont Arts Council, his work has been featured on National Public Radio. He is a scholar for the Vermont Humanities Council and teaches writing for Vermont Community High School.
This free, 45 minute performance is perfect for children 3 years old and up and includes riddles, brainteasers and a few magic tricks. Peter’s performance is the kick-off of the Get a Clue @ your Library summer reading program in the Children’s Room and is sponsored by the Friends of Brooks Memorial Library and the Vermont Department of Libraries.
