BCTV MERCHANDISE
BCTV relies on donations to cover the expense of providing popular daily programs such as Democracy Now! and International News Network to Brattleboro area viewers. For instance, the annual subscription to Democracy Now is $350, which can be covered by small donations of $10-20 from people who depend on Amy Goodman to offer her alternative perspective on the day’s news.
The station's aging equipment is in need of repair and replacement. When the equipment fails, it means that BCTV can't provide local broadcasts such as the popular Brattleboro Selectboard meetings, which is watched by many iBrattleboro members, including Chris, Lise and others who write the excellent citizen reports on the meetings!
BCTV receives the majority of its funding from a percentage of what cable subscribers pay for cable, but currently the station is under-funded. Until the station has undergone contract negotiations next year with Comcast cable, BCTV is in need of community members who can donate any amount they can.
If you would rather skip the chatchkas and just make a donation for the station, see below.
Your direct donation to BCTV, a 501(c)(3) organization, is tax deductible.
If you would like to sponsor a specific program like Democracy Now or the Selectboard Meeting, BCTV can acknowledge you or your business on the air.
