MSA HOSTS SLIDE SHOW ON ECUADOR

SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – Marcea MacInnis of Saxtons River will present a photo show of her travels in Ecuador Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Main Street Arts.

MacInnis spent more than a year in the South American country, where she worked on a dairy farm and visited many parts of the country, including the high, snow-capped peaks of the Andes, the Amazon jungle basin, the Pacific coast cloud-forest, and the Galapagos Islands. Her presentation will highlight the country’s diversity and introduce an eco-tourism project she is developing.

MacInnis and brothers Tomás and Michael Dammer, who are dairy farmers in the Andes, will explain how their new company, Nahual Expediciones, will organize trips to Ecuador as a means of funding a wilderness living school to help indigenous people improve their agricultural skills.

A graduate of Marlboro College with a concentration in sculpture, MacInnis has also traveled extensively in India and Asia.

Admission is free. Directions to MSA are available on its website, MainStreetArts.org, or by calling (802) 869-2960.
