Unwelcome corporate development, such as formula/chain stores (Cumberland Farms in West Brattleboro) and big box stores (Home Depot on Putney Road), and energy policy (Vermont Yankee) leave local communities holding the bag containing the endless and rising costs of unsustainable development.

On Saturday, October 13th, from 10:00 AM until Noon, at the Brattleboro Savings and Loan Community Room, Ellen Hayes of Advocates for Community Empowerment (ACE) will be presenting exciting information about how local communities in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire are establishing control of their futures by enacting citizen defined values and vision into binding, enforceable law. Discover how these local citizens are taking the information they have learned in Democracy School to lead their communities into a sustainable future.

This event is free, light refreshments will be provided.
