A note of thanks from all of the people at Rescue, Inc. for those who helped and attended the Jamboree at the VFW this past Sunday.

An event like this would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of so many people who were willing to give their time and their efforts.

First of all, thank you to the Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tom Frechette, who was instrumental in allowing the jamboree to take place and Mike Como, benefit event coordinator whose help was invaluable in bringing together all the parts for an event such as this.

Additionally, the assistance of the VFW house committee, the members of VFW Post 1034, the VFW Men’s Auxiliary who prepared the food for the event, as well as the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Especially noteworthy are the efforts of Joanne Condosta, Lucie Fortier, and Jane McCormick who brought in so many raffle items on such short notice. A special note of thanks for Rosemary Hazelton who made the posters that were circulated in 14 our of membership towns.

Additionally we’d like to thank Sonja Robbins who coordinated the bands that played Sunday afternoon which included the host band Weathered Roads. Also playing that afternoon for us were Playin Possum, Knight Riderz and Swinging Doors.

There were also many volunteers from Rescue who helped with this event. Archie Clark with his public relations committee, Rescue staff who took donations at door, sold raffle tickets for donated prizes and sold raffle tickets for the 50/50 raffle.

We also want to thank the many people in our community who came out to support Rescue Inc and have a great time at the Veterans of Foreign War’s Post 1047in Brattleboro.

For the businesses and individuals who donated all the door prizes, your donations were greatly appreciated both by us and the individuals who went home with your prizes.

If we have missed anyone, we most certainly didn’t mean too.

To all who contributed to this effort as well as all those who came for the afternoon our sincerest appreciation. We hope to do it again next year.
