In the "Offbeat News" section online today, I saw a piece written about Complaints Choirs. These are big in the Scandinavian countries and spreading through Europe, but once I read about them, I saw Brattleboro all over this.

A Complaints Choir is a group of people with gripes, who come together to give voice to them in song. The only condition for membership is a complaint. Any kid of complaint. You don't need any musical ability, but it is hoped that you can be loud. There are So Many Complaints around here, this could be a huge choir!

The process has been perfected, and it's all clearly laid out at the website of the creators of this wonderful idea: http://complaintschoir.org/

I have already been in touch with Oliver, and there are no other Choirs in this area, so we'll be a first!

We need people; Oliver's advice in his email is to get many people to get involved, take our time, and let it evolve. I'm enthused! Anybody else? Maus? Patman? Grotke? Floyd? cbridge? Everybody can email me and we'll start amassing complaints. Then we'll put together a song, have some rehearsal, and then a lovely Spring Concert! What say ye?
