The Market will feature local foods, eggs, locally-raised grass-fed meat, cider, baked goods, local preserves, hand-made soaps, jewelry, pottery, chair massage and much more.
Shop, and enjoy a delicious lunch with live music by Andrew Donovan from 11:30 AM to 1 PM at the cafe. Support local agriculture and the local economy.
Today's market will feature a fruit and vegetable carving demonstration by Tukta B. Long. Tukta has combined this traditional Thai art with the Japanese art of Ikebana. She has taught throughout Japan, Thailand and the US. Living in the area since 2003, Tukta is known locally as the chef/owner of Lotus Cafe in Brattleboro where she continues to apply her skills as a chef and master carver. She is also a part of Thai Hut catering, a regular lunch vendor at the Winter Farmers' Market as well as the summer market in Brattleboro.
Also featured at this week's market is Putney Mountain Winery, the Brattleboro Food Co-op Local Producer of the Month. Meet winemaker Charles Dodge, and sample his distinctive wines made with the local and regional fruits that are characteristic of New England.
