MBA Program Marketing Internship

The Marlboro College Graduate Center requires an MBA Program Marketing Intern to provide marketing-related support for our new MBA in Managing for Sustainability, and possibly for other Grad Center degree programs. This is a paid, 6-month, 20-hour/week position, starting in March, 2008 and ending in September, 2008. Benefits are not provided. This is a new position.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The MBA Program Intern will assist with the marketing of the new Marlboro MBA, which commenced instruction with its first cohort in January, 2008. The focus of this position will be advertising, promotional, and other marketing-related activities in support of recruiting the second cohort, which will start in September. The intern will report to the MBA Program Director, and work with the Graduate Center team in areas that include the following:

- Coordination of the preparation of marketing materials.
- Limited copywriting/copy editing.
- Coordination of program advertising and promotion through online, print-media, radio, event, direct-mail, viral, stakeholder, and other communication channels.
- Expense monitoring and budget control.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and PC/Mac skills.
- Experience in marketing, PR, advertising, or event management.
- Knowledge of PhotoShop or other graphics/publishing software, or web design, is a plus.


MBA program intensives occur once a month, and the intern’s presence occasionally may be required during a Thursday evening, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday morning.
