    Where's the RL Elkins Post?
Authored by: cgrotke on Tuesday, March 25 2008 @ 08:05 PM EDT
Notrhing was removed. It was a comment in the Town Meeting
    coverage, and is still there:

"Authored by: RLElkins on Sunday, March 23 2008 @ 12:39 PM EDT
When the euphoria bubble of town meeting breaks, the residents of
Brattleboro who are renters are going to be financially blindsided when
their leases renew. Why? Well, if you take the one year increase in
the town budget and add the one year increase in the town school
budget along with the increase in the Brattleboro portion of the BUHS
budget plus the additional $409,000 in town borrowing, while ignoring
the cost of carrying $400,000 in unpaid property and sewer bills,
spending levels increased in Brattleboro in one year by approximately
$3,189,310 with a flat grand list in a minimum wage local economy
    that is not exactly booming.

Property taxes to a landlord are an expense which is a cost of good
sold that is reflected in rental prices. So, do not be surprised when
your lease renewal this year increases by $75 to $100 a month."

    Hope this helps.
    the handy dandy search box
Authored by: shaw on Wednesday, March 26 2008 @ 12:45 AM EDT
If you look on the top right hand side of the site you will see a box with a "search" button next to it. Just enter in the user name (or even a word in part of the post) into the box, then press the "search" button . . . it should take you to what you were looking for.

There ARE a lot of posts flying around on this site, and yes, it sometimes gets hard to refer back to something that gets posted, but pretty much everything can be found via the search box.
the handy dandy advanced search box

Even better, click on the "advanced search" and you can get even more
control - search for multiple words, etc.

There is also the "Directory" above in the green bar. This organizes all
stories by section, and by when they appeared. I use it when I know the
story was, say, in the spring of 2004, but I can't recall exactly when it
appeared. It's good for chronological searchers.
