    Joerg Mayer Town Meeting Resolution
    Tuesday, March 25 2008 @ 09:35 PM EDT
    Contributed by: Bob Bady

    Town NewsHere's the resolution we passed at Town Meeting on Saturday:

    Whereas, Joerg Mayer has served his community in many ways: as a selectboard member, a planning commission and town meeting member, a stalwart volunteer at Brattleboro Community Television, and most recently, a newspaper columnist;

    Whereas he has been unafraid to speak his mind, and stands behind his convictions;

    Therefore, be it resolved that we, members of the Brattleboro Representative Town Meeting wish to formally thank Joerg, and appreciate his contribution to this community.

    Joerg Mayer Town Meeting Resolution
    Authored by: BCTVProg on Wednesday, March 26 2008 @ 03:33 PM EDT
    Joerg has been a dedicated and greatly appreciated volunteer at BCTV for the past several years. He worked every week on the community bulletin board updating public service announcements and also worked on titling the First Wednesday series recorded at the library.

    Despite his declining health, and even with the occasional fire department rescue from the municipal building elevator, he has retained a sense of humor and a sense of purpose that is truly inspirational and most welcome here. BCTV will be hard pressed to find a volunteer with the enthusiasm and knowhow to work on the variety of projects that Joerg dedicated himself to.

    He is greatly missed and admired here.
