RAIN GARDENS & BACKYARD HABITATS
is coming to the Newbrook Fire House in Newfane
Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 6:30pm
This workshop will introduce both of these wonderful landscaping techniques and give participants the opportunity to begin their own designs for their particular properties. We will spend time learning about the ecological services each of these techniques can provide as well as the plants and animals they support. Steve Restmeyer of Eco – Logical Landscaping in Chester, VT will be joining us to discuss his experience and answer specific questions about site design.
There will be time to create a sketch of your property, but you could also do this ahead of time. If you are interested in planting a rain garden and have a driveway, roof or other impervious surface on your property it will be helpful to have the dimensions with you as well.
Snacks and refreshments will be served. Workshops are free and donations are appreciated.
