    Contributed by: BrattFireDept

Town NewsThe Brattleboro Fire Department is pleased to have this opportunity to reach out to the community in this forum.

As was stated in an earlier posting, we will attempt to do a monthly article on current fire department happenings, fire safety tips, seasonal fire safety and other news and tipsof interest to the readers.

Our intentions are to do postings the last week of each month or more if needed. I want to publicly thank Lt Marty Rancourt who spearheaded this project. We encourage you to submit questions and comments and to visit our web site at www.brattleborofire.org.

    Thank you,
    Chief Mike Bucossi

Nice pictures of the new Engine 3 being constructed on the BFD site. I
hadn't realized that fire departments had such a hand in the design
    process.

This is a really good idea. We've seen some terrible fires around here, and the more info about prevention and knowing what to do in a fire is all for the better.

It may be weird, but I look forward to the Fire Dept. coming to my building in spring and fall to check all the alarms and extinguishers. I appreciate that.
