I have a 16-17 year old cat that pretty much does not do anything anymore but lay on the kitchen floor only to get up to eat and use the litter box.
He used to be a rather large cat, around 20-22 pounds but now when I pat him I have to be gentle as all I feel are his bones mostly.
I cry when I think of putting him down but I also think it is in his best interest to relieve him of his obvious suffering instead of keeping him here for my own reason of not wanting to lose him, but he has no quailty of life anymore.
Any comments? I need some support if I am going to do what I think is the right thing and take him to the vet and end his suffering.
