Despite the recent controversy over Vermont Rep Daryl Pillsbury's vote on campaign finance reform, his recent decision to pull out of the race for Peter Shumlin's vacant Senate seat caught some by surprise. We emailed Daryl for a statement and he responded with the following:
For personal reasons I will not be running for the Vermont Senate. To my supporters, sorry to disappoint you. Instead I will be focusing on my family and my own health issues. It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Brattleboro.Thank you for putting your trust in me. It has been an experience of a lifetime. To Bridget and all my family I love you. Thank you for all your support over the years.
