    Gathering in Gratitude Theatre Prodcution
    Friday, November 14 2008 @ 10:50 AM GMT+4
    Contributed by: WestRiver

EntertainmentBrattleboro: Back by Popular Demand! Gathering in Gratitude is a magical
presentation of music, dance and drama that honors the natural world. The
ensemble of players is made up of more than twenty members of our community
including children, teens, adults and elders from Southern Vermont.

The show’s Director, Luz Elena Morey has been training and guiding this group of
amateur and professional dancers, musicians, actors and healers in the out
of doors to prepare for this transformational theatre experience. Unlike
other traditional plays this story has been born from the ideas and visions
    of its players.

The children have created their own characters just as the
actresses have written their own lines. It is through Morey’s pure and
gifted insight that the players’ separate experiences are weaved together to
create a magnificent and powerful experience for the audience.

Only in its second year, this multi-generational performance is sure to
become a tradition for many years to come. Please join us as we kick off the
holiday season by embracing the values we desire to celebrate the most
during this festive time of year. As you watch the children of our story
descend into the center of the Earth to find the ancient wisdom that will
restore life to the planet, you too will journey into the darkness to emerge
with a profoundly new sense of hope, joy, and sense of resilience.

Luz Elena Morey is a Colombian-born musician, performer, sound healer and
student of the late Sarah Saruah Benson.

Tickets are on sale NOW! Buy early as all shows sold out last year. Advance
purchase is available at Verde, on 133 Main Street in Brattleboro: $10 for
adults and $8 for children. For more information, please call 254-1310.
