Yesterdays letter to the editor re a 19.7 million cut in Early Education Services is very wrong. Not the letter, the idea that our legislature can even consider this is wrong. Write your legislators and our Govenor. We treat our children and elderly like second class citizens and the children we are thinking of neglecting now may be caring for YOU later.

Studies show that investing in high-quality preschool and early
education
SAVES money later on... savings in special needs education, jails,
health
care, unemployment, and all sorts of areas.
If a seed is planted, in needs to be watered, get good soil, and have
sun
to grow up and be productive. Early neglect may keep it from
sprouting
at all.
Giving young children great education and opportunity one of the
easier
things to do, but it takes a commitment from parents, teachers,
community members, business, and government.
