Come join "Brattleboro Community Conversations" for a film followed by discussion. Directed by Lee Mun Wah, "The Color of Fear" is an insightful, groundbreaking film about the state of race relations in America as seen through the eyes of eight North American men of Asian, European, Latino and African descent. In a series of intelligent, emotional and dramatic confrontations the men reveal the pain and scars that racism has caused them. What emerges is a deeper sense of understanding and trust. This is the dialogue most of us fear, but hope will happen sometime in our lifetime.
The event is co-sponsored by ALANA and Educational Praxis. It is free and open to the public. Free Bread! Donations to cover the cost of the space are appreciated.
Brattleboro Community Conversations are a chance for people to come together to talk about topics that they don’t usually have the chance to talk about. The goal is to learn together and through this learning to work together to make our community a better place for everyone.
