March 3rd is Town Meeting day in Brattleboro and is rapidly approaching.
In Brattleboro we really have two Town Meeting days. The March 3rd Town Meeting Day is to vote on candidates, Town Meeting representatives and issues. Representative Town Meeting Day on March 21st is for elected Town Meeting representatives to meet, discuss and vote on the Town and school budgets and other items that come up on the agenda. You can attend this meeting, but only elected representatives can vote.
We have created the Brattleboro Town Meeting & Election 2009 page to help organize all of the election related information. There is a graphic and link to the page on the homepage that you may have noticed.
In this section you will find a complete list of important dates for voters and candidates, voting information, and links to videos about registering and voting.
You will also find a link to last year's Representative Town Meeting and last year's Local Election Information for easy review.
Each of the candidates for Selectboard has their bio, photo, and we will be adding links to their iBrattleboro interviews as they come in. (If any of the school board candidates wants to add a photo, bio, or interview, please get in touch. We'd love to have you fully included.)
The full text of the VY ballot issue is there for you to review. Sample ballots for this year's election can also be found, and we'll be adding other useful information and materials as it becomes available.
The Brattleboro Town Meeting & Election 2009 page will remain up through March for easy access at anytime.
