Picturing Windham County, Photographs from Everyone's Collection
    Thursday, April 16 2009 @ 09:40 AM GMT+4
    Contributed by: RogerK

HistoryTonight (Thursday 4/16), the Vermont Center for Photography will be open from 6pm to about 8 for our monthly open portfolio review, and to accept your photos for our May Local History show. Any old photos showing our region's character and characters will be considered. If you can't make it tonight, drop in on Friday night, Saturday or Sunday afternoon. We're excited to see images that show change and contain information about what makes our area unique. Local scenes, people, jobs, buildings, businesses, culture, activities, and events. Share what you can.

I hope people dig through their photo boxes and bring in some good ones
for this. I'd love to see photos from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's and
    80's in this show.

We didn't get as much public response as we'd hoped, but Al will be at the gallery for a while today , Monday 4-27-09 if anyone wants to bring something in. We brought in pics from the historical society and Bob George to round out our other submissions, and I'll bring in some of the dozens of albums that I've posted on the various Brattleboro Facebook pages ...pictures from 1965 to the present. Lots of current town faces plus many who have moved on.
Remember to stop by during Gallery Walk to share in the celebration and see old Brattleboro and if you , your friends, and families are represented.
