    1,200 Turnout for Healthcare Rally

    ActivismMassive Turnout for Healthcare is a Human Right Rally in Montpelier.

    Friday, May 1st 2009, approximately 1200 Vermonters came out to the Statehouse to claim their human right to healthcare.

    The Vermont Workers Center would like to recognize the individuals and organizations building this movement for making the May 1st Rally a historic event that will truly change the political possibility of our right to healthcare.

    We marched, we rallied, we sang, and heard from speakers. In a way that could not be ignored, we made our voices heard as we delivered our message to the governor and legislators, that healthcare is a human right.
