The 7th Annual Music in the Meadow, at the Motel in the Meadow, in Chester, Vermont, takes place on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. Saturday’s “Concert Under the Tent,” from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., boasts Tom Hitchcock – The Never Be Brothers, Rob Cannillo, GB 101, John Taylor & Mike Leuci, The Stockwell Brothers, and Mark Shelton. Sunday’s “Hymn Sing,” from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., features Mark Shelton and the Rusty Pick-Up Band. A $5 donation is suggested, and all proceeds benefit Race for the Cure. Call 875-2626 for more info.

Through events like the Komen VT-NH Race for the Cure, the VT-NH Affiliate has netted more than $5.7 million in 17 years. Seventy-five percent of that stayed local, while 25%, or approximately $1.4 million, went to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.
