July 13, 2009, 5:00pm - The Brattleboro Planning Commission will be conducting a field visit to four locations along the Halladay and Whetstone Brooks as part of its work on the Interim Flood Hazard Area regulations. These regulations include provision for Fluvial Erosion Hazard. The purpose of the field visit is to observe the nature of the hazard(s) and better understand how the Interim Ordinance works.
The meeting will be led by Kari Dolan CFM of the Agency of Natural Resources River Management Program (ANR/RMP) and will involve four different locations:
1. Halladay Brook just east of Sunset Lake Road
2. Halladay Brook just north of Brookwood Drive, Mountain Home Mobile Home Park
3. Whetstone Brook on eastern end of Glen St.
4. Whetstone Brook at the Brattleboro Area Farmers Market on Rt. 9.
Planning Services has obtained permission for limited parking at Chelsea Royal Diner on Rt. 9.
The meeting will commence at 5:00pm in the rear of the parking lot.
