The Brattleboro Senior Center, in collaboration with the Vermont Citizens Campaign for Health (VCCH), will host a weekly lunchtime health care reform discussion series beginning on Thursday, July 16 from noon to 1:00p.m. in the Main Street Brattleboro Senior Center lounge. It will continue every Thursday from 12- 1:00p.m.
Richard Davis, VCCH executive director and Brattleboro Reformer health care columnist, will moderate the discussion and be available to answer questions and provide updates on the quickly changing national health care reform scene.
Davis commented that, “Currently, there is a great deal of public discussion about health care reform on every level, from the national political scene to the man on the street. The public is engaged in the issue in a way that has not happened in many decades, if ever.”
He went on to say, “Now is the time for those who are engaged more directly in the health care reform arena to connect with those who want more information but may not have the time or connections to gather information.”
The Vermont Citizens Campaign for Health is a Brattleboro-based statewide health care advocacy organization that has been working for a single payer health care system since 1989. It is comprised of volunteer board members who work to promote meaningful health care reform that will help Vermont be a leader in providing health care to all of its people.
